Studygenie Places 2nd at Santa Clara University's Business Pitch Competition
We’re proud to announce that Studygenie Co-Founder Keaan Mirchandani has claimed 2nd place at Santa Clara University's Business Pitch Competition, an accomplishment our team is incredibly proud of.
The competition brought together brilliant minds from across SCU’s campus. Student entrepreneurs pitched everything from hiring platforms to health & wellness technology. Yet among this talented pool of founders, our AI-powered study platform caught the judges' attention.
Our journey to this stage began in Santa Clara's Accelerator Prep School, which provided us hands-on support in growing Studygenie through roadmapping, problem solving, and pitch development. Through countless mentor sessions and experiments, we discovered what truly matters: deeply understanding your users' pain points and crafting delightful product experiences.
SCU Ciocca Center's recent newsletter highlighted our achievement alongside other remarkable student ventures. Executive Director Chris Norris notes in the newsletter that entrepreneurship isn't about being fearless—it's about becoming comfortable with uncertainty and building confidence to navigate uncharted waters. This philosophy resonates deeply with our founding team. Building Studygenie hasn't been a straight path. We've pivoted, iterated, and sometimes had to completely start from scratch. Each setback taught us something valuable about our users, our technology, and ourselves.
Placing second in this competition validates months of hard work, but it's just the beginning. We're using this momentum to expand our platform's capabilities and reach more students who struggle with traditional study methods.
The competition also reminded us why we started this journey. Education shouldn't be a barrier—it should be a bridge to bigger dreams. When students tell us they aced an exam using our platform or finally understood a complex concept through our AI tutor, we remember that technology's greatest power lies in its ability to unlock human potential.
Thanks to everyone who's supported us on this wild ride thus far. This recognition from Santa Clara University energizes us for the challenges ahead.
